“Festina lente”
Festina lente is a Latin phrase that means make haste slowly or hasten slowly. It’s an oxymoron that conveys the need to balance speed and deliberation, and to move forward with purpose and care.
The phrase originated in ancient Rome, where the emperor Augustus used it to advise his military commanders to avoid rashness.
